REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD VISIT THE PHILIPPINES ✈✈

palawan-philippines.jpg
The Philippines is best known for its natural beauty, from white sandy beaches and rich coral reefs to green mountains, perfectly-shaped volcanoes and brightly-colored “Ifugao Rice Terraces that attracted over 4.8 million tourists in 2014, based on the United Nations World Tourism Organization’s Tourism Highlights 2015.

Indeed, Philippines is one of the best tourist destinations that will surely leave you breathless. If you are tired of colossal temples, this country will give you a distinct feeling of joy and so much discovery that can’t be felt elsewhere in Asia. Its natural resources along with its delectable cuisines will attract you more of its rich culture and heritage.

Here are the reasons why you should get in touch with a tour operator in the Philippines and visit the country.

Philippines is very festive at heart

Celebrations like Panagbenga in Baguio City, Maskara Festival in Bacolod, and Ati-Atihan in Aklan make the Philippines a splash of color and diversity. If you are into riotous costumes, odd folklore and street dancing, these festivities will tour you around the memory lane. They truly showcase the heart and soul of the Filipino natives.

Filipinos also pay tribute to their own patron saints and bountiful harvests by remembering their town festivals. With numerous towns and cities to choose from, you will never run out of itinerary in this country, at any time of the year.

Philippines is an English speaking country

English being the universal language is one important aspect that’s why traveling to other countries become a success. Foreigners love to travel in the Philippines because 90% of its people know how to speak English. Unlike most of its neighboring countries in South East Asia, where you’ll find it easy to communicate.

As far as traveling is concerned, the Philippines is a great country for first time travelers because of their language. As a matter of fact, Koreans visit this country to study basic and advanced English lessons for better opportunities abroad and in their country.

Philippines is full of exotic and pristine beaches

With more than 7,000 islands, the Philippines proved to many that it is the absolute destination for water sports like snorkeling and scuba diving Other than water sports, Philippines is also becoming a favorite spot for other new water sports emerging such as flyboarding and kayaking.

Certainly, there are a lot of reasons to visit this country aside from all of these. If you want a vacation that is truly memorable, try going to this country and experience hospitality at its finest form.

Shopping

The Philippines can be like Disneyland to any shopaholic as the happiest place on earth. Tourists and locals alike flock to places like Greenhills’ tiangge, which is a year-round market where you can buy clothes or novelty items for as low $1.

You can also visit Manila’s Divisoria (my favorite!) or 168, where you can purchase items like craft and office supplies, clothes, and just about anything at wholesale prices. Other metropolitan areas like Cebu and Davao have also become main retail hubs for the Visayas and Mindanao regions.

Culture

When you travel to the Philippines, there may be times where you might find yourself saying only in the Philippines!” This is because of the country’s public utility vehicles such as a motorcycle with a sidecar called tricycles or a colorful stretched jeep called jeepney.

Also, it is only in the Philippines will you find the world’s largest pair of shoes. The Guinness Book of World Records recognized the 5.29 meter-long footwear in Marikina—the country’s shoe capital, as the biggest. The humongous shoe can fit 30 people and took 77 days to make by 10 people.

Gastronomic adventures

Filipinos aren’t only known for the hospitality, but also for our passion for good food. Every celebration, whether big or small, calls for a mountain heap of delicacies. Festivities would not be complete without its guest of honor—the lechon, a succulent roasted pig that enamors your palate with its crispy skin and juicy meat.

Another Filipino favorite is adobo, a staple family dish. Not to mention, something that is uniquely “Pinoy” is the balut, a boiled 17-day-old duck embryo eaten with rock salt or vinegar.

But, it is not just appetizers or main dishes that Filipinos have injected their identity. A popular dessert in the tropical island is halo-halo, a milky sweet treat served with leche flan, gulaman, ube (purple yam), banana, kaong, beans, and garbanzos, and then topped with shaved ice and ice cream.

And, if cool desserts are not enough, local bakes have placed a unique twist on coconuts, turning them into household favorites like buko pie, sherbet, and sugar (Muscovado).

Outdoor activities

If eating, shopping, or sunbathing aren’t your style, the Philippines is also a getaway to all sorts of water sports and outdoor activities. A lot of places in the Philippines offer exciting activities like parasailing, rappelling, rock scrambling, cliff diving, and the like. My favorite is the adrenaline-filled canyoneering activity in Cebu. If you’re into music, we also have music and art festivals in the mountains!

You can go on an underwater snorkel adventure and admire the country’s biodiversity, swim with stingless jellyfishes, or spot dugongs (manatees).

It doesn’t matter what kind of experience you are seeking for because the Philippines has something for everyone to explore. There are absolutely a ton of things you can do in the Philippines that promises you will never be bored. The country prides itself on its culture, history, heritage, food twists, and all sorts of activities that are uniquely Filipino.

So what are you waiting for? Its time to start thinking where you want to spent your vacation. If you want to enjoy in the paradise beaches , or you are lover of traditional food or you want to explore natural wonders you definitely must go to the Philippines. ♡♡

PAGEANT TIPS ♡ ✔

Whether you’re new to pageants, or if you are a returning contestant, these tips are sure to help you compete at your fullest potential!

 ✔ Introduction :

When you introduce yourself at the beginning of the pageant, KNOW what you want to say. You are not being judged per day (in points) but the judges are watching you and making opinions! Everything helps…so make a good impression! Stand in Model-T position with arms at your side. Be crisp, excited, and don’t let your words run together. Speak slowly, but lively. Have in mind what you want to say before you say it and practice it a few times. Don’t be too drawn out, or too under-stated. 10-15 seconds should be fine.  Don’t forget to thank your sponsors

✔ Hair :
Believe it or not, hair is a big deal. Because it is a woman’s crowning glory, your hair must be healthy, soft, shiny, and perfectly styled. Do not show up with over-processed hair. If your hair is thinner and needs help, use good quality hair extensions and clip them in. Avoid using permanent hair extensions because these get overused on a daily basis. As a result, the texture of the extensions doesn’t match your own hair. And often the hair extension doesn’t move in the same direction as your own hair. This will make it appear as though you are wearing fake hair. Clip-in hair extensions are much easier to keep your hair looking healthy and natural, and they tend to blend better with your own hair, if put in correctly.

✔ Skin Care :
Start a good skin-care regimen, so that your skin will be nice for the pageant. This is important, especially if you have trouble with acne, etc. Start using a moisturizer as well, so that your skin does not get dried out and looks healthy and glowing! Also, most girls feel that they would look better with a tan. This is always an option, but only if it looks good on you! Make sure to stay moisturized and achieve a good shade for YOU and your gown. There is such a thing as “too dark”, but make sure you don’t look washed out under the lights.

✔ Makeup :
When you are on stage, makeup can be a bit heavier because you are far way from the audience and you want to make certain your features pop. However, I am not talking about wearing heavy, theatrical makeup, but be aware of the lighting on stage. When you are in rehearsal, show up with the makeup that you plan on wearing during the finals. Take some selfies or record a video of yourself. This way you can check to see how your makeup looks on stage. For the actual event, you’ll know if you need to adjust your makeup.

Glowing skin is so popular these days. However, using too much shimmer and highlights can make you look like a sweaty disco ball. Just remember, when lights hit your face, you want to sparkle, but in the right amount and in the proper place.

You can go heavier with blush.

For your lips, if your lipstick is too nude, it will make your mouth disappear from your face. Make certain the color you choose makes your lips stand out. And if you have smaller lips, don’t be afraid to use a lip liner to create the illusion of fuller lips. Finish with lip gloss.

When it comes to eyes, definitely wear false eyelashes, and use shimmer eye shadows to add sparkle on the lid and matte in the crease.

Keep your nails natural. No claws or French manicures.

✔ Wardrobe :
For your pageant wardrobe, make certain to choose styles that compliment your body, not what you think looks best on someone else. Show off your figure and if you have larger breasts don’t make it too obvious. Wear something that makes you look elegant, yet sexy. There is a reason why contestants wear chandelier earrings. Once again, you are on stage.  People see you from far away. And you want to wear jewelry that stands out, but not too much like Joan Collins in Dynasty!

For some reason, I still see lots of stripper shoes when I judge beauty pageants. While they might be appropriate attire for strip clubs, they have no place in a serious beauty pageant. Unless the pageant has a shoe sponsor, bring shoes that are preferably tan in color, the classic nude pump. If you need a little height, a platform 1 ½ “ or less, is suitable. No wedges, ankle straps, or patterns.  Remember, the focus needs to be from your feet up to your head, not on your shoes.

✔ Knowledge :
You are young and I understand you want to have fun and you should. But since you are on your phone all day anyways, why not subscribe to a news site? The world outside is more fascinating than you might think! You could even find yourself liking politics, environmental issues, or world affairs. Understanding the world around you, at least to some degree, will give you confidence when you are on stage. If you are well-rounded, this will help you answer the most difficult questions during the Q&A portion. You might not understand it completely, but you will still come out on top if you are a well-rounded individual. The judges understand that you don’t know everything. No one does. But it is all about how you handle the question without losing it.

Carry this knowledge with you throughout your life even when the lights are off and the show is over. You will understand later how much these experiences have shaped you as a person for the rest of your life!

✔ On-Stage Question :
This is simply an Interview on stage! So treat it the same. Repeat the question and answer slowly, but do not be too verbose. Make a clear point. It doesn’t have to be brilliance or rocket science. They aren’t looking so much at what you say, but you deliver it. Don’t fidget or grab the microphone! You don’t have to say “Thank You” either! You should be able to close your point in a way that they know you have concluded your statement. Since you are looking at the judges and a bit of the audience while you answer, when you finish you can glance and nod at the emcee so the will thank YOU! As you walk off stage look at the judges as long as possible, turn your head until you near a point where any more walking will look strained, then gracefully turn your head and continue.

I am so excited to walk on this journey with you! Let’s get started!

Top 5 Beaches in the Philippines

Philippines is one of the largest island groups in the world with 7,107 islands.

 SOUTHERN NEGROS

philippines-beaches-malapascua
If you want to sample several world-class beaches in one short trip, look no further than southern Negros. Fly into Dumaguete, the regional capital of Negros Oriental, and you are within an hour of Apo Island, a top dive site with backpacker-friendly accommodation on an utterly isolated stretch of sand; escapist paradise Tambobo Bay; and Siquijor Island. rung with bone-white beaches and exceptional value accommodation. Further afield (four hours away by bus), you’ll feel like you’ve reached the end of the Earth at Sipalay’s Sugar Beach.

BUCAS GRANDE ISLANDS, SURIGAO DEL NORTE

dsc_7756_zpsc7d5c224
BUCAS GRANDE ISLAND HOPPING AND SOHOTON COVE TOUR. With its lushly vegetated tropical rock islands, crystal clear waters, caves, lakes and school of non-stinging jellyfishes, I certainly agree to those who say that this destination is a must-see in Surigao Del Norte. One can expect to be surrounded with sublime scenery during island hopping. I would, however, like to set proper expectations by saying that while there are a few beaches in Bucas Grande, they’re small and not as stunning as those beaches found in Palawan, Caramoan, Boracay and Siargao. This shouldn’t stop you from visiting Bucas Grande islands and Sohoton Cove though, because this destination certainly has its unique charm and the scenery is really spectacular.

BORACAY

The queen of all the beaches is probably White Beach in Boracay, constantly rated as one of the Top 10 beaches of the Philippines. 🙂

Boracay is a small island in the Philippines located approximately 315 km (196 mi) south of Manila and 2 km off the northwest tip of Panay Island in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines. Boracay Island and its beaches have received awards from numerous travel publications and agencies. The island comprises the barangays of Manoc-Manoc, Balabag, and Yapak in the municipality of Malay, in Aklan Province. The island is administered by thePhilippine Tourism Authority and the provincial government of Aklan. Apart from its white sand beaches, Boracay is also famous for being one of the world’s top destinations for relaxation. It is also emerging among the top destinations for tranquility and nightlife.

boracay-beach-hd-wallpaper
Boracay was named ‘Best Beach island’ in 2012 by Travel + Leisure magazine. Work on your tan on the island’s seven-kilometer powdery white sand. Or go kiteboarding or windsurfing on Bulabog Beach-listed as a top destination in the international circuit.

CORON PALAWAN

Coron is a first-class municipality in the province of Palawan. It is located in the northern side of Palawan. It is quite an undeveloped town on the island of Busuanga where most lodges and inns are situated. There’s not much to do in town itself (expect climbing Mt. Tapyas) so it’s basically considered as a jumping point for all water activities. Coron is one of the few towns of Palawan where tourists flock because of its majestic bodies of water. The crystal-clear water of Coron Palawan is incomparable as it is a mixture of saltwater and freshwater.

Coron Palawan is considered as Shipwreck Diving Capital of the Philippines. The main industries in the small town of Coron are fishing and tourism. A lot of people go bananas with the town’s beaches, dive sites and other natural tourists spots. Did you know: Coron Island was not inhabitable, so people living there transferred to Busuanga and later on, that place were they transferred to was also referred to as Coron.

Panglao Island , Bohol

Alona Beach is considered heart of Panglao Island, many of the island’s restaurants, resorts and shops are located here since most of the activities are centered in this spot. It is situated on the southwest tip of Panglao Island fronting Bohol Sea and boasts of one and a half kilometer of fine white sand bordered by rocky cliffs on both end. Its rich water is ideal for swimming, snorkeling and scuba diving with Balicasag and Pamilacan Island not far away. Balicasag and Pamilacan islands are both marine sanctuaries and undeniably two of the best dive sites in the Philippines.

Panglao Island is home to Bohols’s fine white sandy beaches and amazing scuba diving sites, and when talking of Panglao Island, Alona Beach will surely come out for being a favorite of beach lovers, sun worshippers and scuba divers!

Singapore the Lion city

download

Singapore, an island city-state off southern Malaysia, is a global financial center with a tropical climate and multicultural population. Its colonial core centers on the Padang, a cricket field since the 1830s and now flanked by grand buildings such as City Hall, with its 18 Corinthian columns. In Singapore’s circa-1820 Chinatown stands the red-and-gold Buddha Tooth Relic Temple, said to house one of Buddha’s teeth.

MERLION

Half-fish and half-lion, the iconic Merlion resides at the waterfront Merlion Park.

The body symbolises Singapore’s humble beginnings as a fishing village when it was called Temasek, meaning ‘sea town’ in Old Javanese.

Its head represents Singapore’s original name, Singapura, or ‘lion city’ in Malay.

Today, you can glimpse this legend at Merlion Park. Spouting water from its mouth, the Merlion statue stands tall at 8.6 metres and weighs 70 tonnes.

This icon is a ‘must-see’ for tourists visiting Singapore, similar to other significant landmarks around the world.

images
Yes it is a ‘Must-see’ for tourist especially at night it looks so harmonious and you will love it so much.

But with the completion of Esplanade Bridge in 1997, the statue could no longer be viewed clearly from the waterfront. So in 2002, the Merlion was relocated 120 metres away from the original position to where it stands in Merlion Park today, in front of Fullerton Hotel and overlooking Marina Bay. The park also houses a smaller Merlion statue. Known as the ‘Merlion cub’, it stands at 2 metres tall and weighs three tonnes. The original sculpture and its cub are the most well-known among the seven approved Merlion statues in Singapore. See if you can spot the rest on your trip here: there’s a giant version on Sentosa, one at Tourism Court near Grange Road and another at Mount Faber.

What he learned?

As a teen he will share the things that he learned about life, fashion, confidence, friendship and how to be the best version of you.

In My life I only have two rules to follow. Which is being happy and being true to my self because for me it is the key for me to be success and to inspire others.

ALWAYS BE HAPPY! 🙂

STEP 1: Always prepare to be happy because happiness is the secret to all beauty. Smiling is the best thing to do when you are down, when you are alone and when you’re facing struggles in your life.

Happiness comes from within and is found the present moment by making peace in the past and looking forward to the future.

STEP 2: JUST BE YOURSELF

Being true to yourself is the key to make your self happy, because that’s the first rule that you need to do “you have to be yourself” for you to be loved by yourself and by the other people around you.

I experience that before, when i am not yet out in my own cocoon.

But now ‘I AM MYSELF’ I am confident to face my fears and to show my flaws.

And you should have too :*

Keep smilin’, keep shinin’
Knowing you can always count on me for sure
That’s what friends are for
For good times and bad times
I’ll be on your side forever more
That’s what friends are for

A Friendship isn’t about whom you have known  the  longest … It’s about who came and never left your side.

They are the people behind my happiness. The people whom i truly loved.

Sabi nga marami tayong matatawag na kapuso, kapatid pero isa lang ang ating PAMILYA.

YES! They are my family

Keeping friends is not easy. But they make it easy for me 🙂

HOW TO BE THE BEST VERSION OF YOU?

The easiest thing to be the best version of you is not to be like Rihanna or Ariana, Daniel or Enrique rather but i suggest these steps for you to be the best. Just be happy at all times always remember that you have the ability to make yourself happy. Just be yourself because you ‘yourself’ is the armor of your everyday life.

Have your fashion in life. bring the modest you in your body.

Let your voice out. Let yourself shine while showing your different YOU with confident and the capability to inspire others.

Make love with you friends they are the one who can love you back they are the people who can share things with you. They will make you that you are not just special but you are extraordinary and your different in a good way.

Be the best version of you by knowing yourself.

Your time starts now.

The best thing is yet to come. 🙂 ❤
